You’re a network marketer and you’re excited because you have a great product or service to offer. If you are using only the tools provided by your company, you probably are not building your own list or using any strategies to set you apart from the crowd. Just ask yourself what do you offer a new prospect that others from the same company are not offering. If you don’t have an answer to that question, keep reading.
Disclaimer, I’m not a professional network marketer, but I work with enough people who are, and what I share here are the differences I see with the very successful ones and the ones still struggling.
Create Your Email List
Many of the successful network marketers I observe all have created their own email list of their prospects and customers. They’re not relying on the company software or the company’s system to communicate with these prospects. There are several benefits to you creating your own list. First, what if you leave this company? If you haven’t created your own list that you control, you lose it. Second, what if the company goes belly up? Once again, without your own list, you’re out of luck. Third, the company software may not allow you to do any of the more useful email campaigns or other marketing to this list. If you have your own, you have much more flexibility. There are a lot of tools that you can use to create your email list, however, my favorite is GetResponse. Stand Out From The Crowd
In addition to creating your own list, what kinds of special offers are you providing for those who join you on your team. Some of the very successful “new school” network marketers are coming up with some very creative strategies for recruiting new people into their teams. Many of these people are now using sales funnels to craft their messages and build out a complete communication strategy. In addition to the normal perks of joining your team, these people have come up with other creative offerings to entice people to join their team. These perks can be anything from books, articles written, special training, sharing the sales funnel concept, strategy and more. You’re only limited by your imagination and the desires of your prospects.
Conclusion
Set up your sales funnel to automatically capture your contacts email addresses and walk them through your process with bonuses and other perks for becoming a part of your team. Help them understand why working with you is better than working with the next guy. Otherwise, why should they choose you over someone else.
